Additional context using M3U4U to creat xmltv from M3u file from IPTV provideer

New channels through filter rules are automatically assigned to the XMLTV channels. Prerequisite, the IDs of the M3U and XMLTV match. Do the IDs in the M3U match those in the XMLTV file?

Dwight1379 commented 3 years ago

HI mar-mei, The answer to that is I believe so, as I am using M3U4U to generate an xmltv listing from my M3U link. image As you can see if i do it manually the info is there, but I expected it to do it automactically.

Half worked! using two epg guides it auto loaded half way through.

I guess you first set the filter and then added the XMLTV file as a source. Because then it is not a new channel for xTeVe and only then can I reproduce it. Only new channels are mapped automatically.

The mapping works a little differently in the browser. A suitable channel is searched for there when an XMLTV file is selected
