Openhardwaremonitor causes high power consumption in Optimus Laptops. #296

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

In an Optimus Laptop (e.g., I have a W520 with an NVIDIA Quadro 2000M),
Openhardwaremonitor regularly queries the discrete graphics card for clock
frequency and other information. This causes the discrete card to wake up
frequently (once per second), significantly increasing power consumption (form
8-9W to 17-20W!!). this can be verified by enabling the NVIDIA Optimus systray
icon (which shows the discrete card to be active regularly), and monitoring
wattage in Lenovo Power manager.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

0.3.2, on Win7 enterprise 64bit
