Also the GUI side could be improved:

list all discovered network addresses (not just the first one)
add Bluetooth-style discovery of active clients on a local network

Somewhat unified GUI was implemented in commit d2864fb8faa01c63b0d7b44f31f44ee3f8841300 This GUI supports both "push transfer" and "pull transfer" modes, has mouse-over descriptions, etc.

plan is:

introduce the "pair" mode (peers discovery with ZeroMQ broadcast) and simplify current Fiji GUI (remove option B) to obtain something like "push model after pairing"

added plugins for the "multi protocol" in commit a2ab8b40083e87fb04e0850e74b1deb15adc2056

should be extended with "verbose logging" checkbox (currently the verbose is at "debug" level, which is rather polluted from other sources and hence, less clear to read/study)
