Bug with new TikZ 3.1 #13

Seems to be caused by the \def\color... in \setcolor. Find&replace all occurrences of \color in pgf-pie.sty with something like \pie@color, and it works fine with pgf 3.1.

The PR is merged and the issues should be fixed on the new upstream at https://github.com/pgf-tikz/pgf-pie
