I can find very different statements about this online. In the data sheet of the Zyxel PMG3000-D20B I can't find the mandatory requirement of an SFP+ port anywhere. There is always talk of SFP.

Has anyone here been able to gather experience?

It’s working in a Mikrotik hEX S for example, which only has a SFP port (not SFP+).

Mine is connected to a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 6P, which also only has a plain SFP (not SPF+) port.
