I've asked this question on Zyxel forums, basically they've been no help, with an ominous note about contracts with ISPs.
I want to use my PMG3000-D20B in my existing switch (XS1930-12HP) - which the forum post confirmed 'works'. The DDMI output shows the modules are 'alive', but neither of them request an IP address on the switch side, which is necessary to use the tool.
IIRC the modules don't request an IP from the switch via DHCP, and instead just have a fixed IP. You have to configure the IP of the interface the module is attached to manually to match the module's subnet.
