Users from LDAP groups that contain escaped characters are not properly mapped on log in #53

The issue is detailed here.

However, there are a couple more problems with it.

  1. Already associated groups aren't displayed as such when searching for more groups to associate
  2. Trying to update the XWiki Group throws NPE
  3. Associating two groups will remove the \ character from already associated groups
