Page creator displayed as "XWikiGuest" when creating a page and inserting the PDF Viewer Macro into the page #54

This issue occurs only when creating a new page

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Install PDF Viewer Macro (Pro)
  2. Create a page
  3. Add the PDF Viewer Macro (Pro) and select a PDF file to view.
  4. Save and View

EXPECTED RESULTS: The creator of the page is displayed, in the bottom right corner, as the logged-in user who created the page.

ACTUAL RESULTS: In the bottom right corner, instead of the creator of the page, "XWikiGuest" is displayed as the creator; Could be related, or not, but there are also two revisions of the page created, even though you only press Save and View once.

Reproduced on XWiki 14.10.8 and PDF Viewer Macro (Pro) version 2.5.3 (currently, the latest version)

This is not specific to PDFViewer, but a platform issue. I created a ticket for it there https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-21884 and most probably will be fixed only in recent versions of XWiki

This was closed as part of https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-21884, so an upgrade to XWiki > 15.10.7 / 16.2.0 is needed to have it for macro PDFViewer
