This might be a product/xwiki-rendering issue, the root cause seems to be a null pointer exception in XWikiMacroHandler.java#L145. While this could be caused by unexpected/invalid content from the macro, I think xwiki-rendering should be fixed.
I can't reproduce on XWiki 15.9 and Pro Macros 1.12:

I guess it was fixed with https://github.com/xwikisas/xwiki-pro-macros/issues/51
Please reopen if you still see the issue.
Issue probably related to Column in Section Macro - macro isn't working properly in WYSIWYG or in-place editing, only works in Source/Wiki mode
Steps to reproduce:
Expected results: 2 columns are added in the section.
Actual results: The page can't be saved and the following error appears in the wiki console
NOTE: The following appears in Source mode after adding Column 1 after adding Column 2
Environment: Windows 11, XWiki 14.10.10 with MySQL 8.0 and Chrome 114, Pro Macros 1.9
