How are ratios/day/week/month calculated? #794

"Day" for instance, is it from 12am-11:59pm? Or the last 24 hours from that 
exact moment?

Also week and month. Is there time/date that defines the beginning of each 
period? Or is it calculated on the spot?

1) See corresponding periods in the plugin 'trafic'.
