Why plasmoid asks for password if I already input it in Settings?

I don't know!

I have the same weird issue since my distro upgraded to KDE4.2.1.

Using KDE 4.2.1 here and Qt 4.4.3. Looks like there was a change in KDE 4.2.1
that
makes this problem occur. I'm not even sure there's something I can do to fix
that?!

Yes, this started happening as soon as I upgraded to KDE 4.2.1. I'm on Kubuntu
Intrepid.

This problem is still there with KDE 4.2.2 but I don't understand why it don't
happens everytime (I tested this on 3 machines)!?

I'm still not sure if this is something I can fix in Gmail Notifier (and how?)
or if
it's at a lower level.

I solved the problem using kwallet.
I created a new wallet with an empty password and now the plasmoid doesn't ask
for
password anymore.

nessunamaillibera could you explain a little bit better how did you solve this
issue? I tried to create a new
wallet, but what name shoudl I use for it? What about settings? It could be an
help for future users. E se
me lo traduci anche ti faccio una statua...

If you have never used kwallet start it and then add the plasmoid to your
desktop.
Then, when you have configured the plasmoid, it should ask yuor gmail password
again.
When you have inserted it a kwallet window should pop up, so create a new
wallet.
When it askes you what password you want to use (for kwallet), you have to
leave the
form empty.
If you have already used kwallet, you should create a new wallet (with no
password),
set it as your default wallet and then add the plasmoid to your desktop and do
as I
explained before.
Sorry if you don't understand, I can't speak english very well.

Forse in italiano mi spiego meglio...
password, creane uno nuovo senza password, impostalo come portafoglio
predefinito
(dalle impostazioni di sistema) e fai come ho descritto prima.
