I think gmailnotifier save passwords only in kwallet, isn't it?

No GN doesn't store the passwords in kwallet (yes I know this is pretty
unsecure).
When I started GN's development there were no API in Plasma to easily use
KWallet
(and I don't really want to make some dirty hacks to use it). Once there will
be an
easy way to use it I'll probably make the changes needed then.

I would like to vote for this support too. The KDE Network Manager plasmoid can
do it.
BTW- where is the account information stored so I can be sure it's secured?

You'll find your account info in ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc
and,
no, even if the password aren't readable by viewing this file with a text
editor,
this is not a secure way to store your credentials. Using KWallet would be the
good
way. I fear I won't be able to do that soon though :(.
