Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a new group (Group Manager)
2. Assign permissions
3. Assign the group to a new user

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

After login with new user, the web interface shows only the Fusionpbx logo and
there isn't the menù.
It is impossible to access to the features.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

centos 6.2, latest svn

Please provide any additional information below.

Did you go through the menu and assign the group to items in the menu?

Do you mean after login with new user? There is no menù...
I've tried also to assign all options to a new user without success. The menù
does not appear after login.

Do you mean after login with new user? No

As a user logged into an account that is assigned to the admin or superadmin
group. You to go the Menu Manager and assign that group to items in the menu.
Its especially important that you make the parent menus available by assign the
user to those as well as the sub menus you want that user to see.

Ok.
Unfortunately there is a bug in menu manager. If I change the group to items in
the menu (for example Advanced), this menu lost the "menu order" and even if I
set after a number different than 0, the number is not saved.
The result is a wrong position in menù bar.

Main menu order is saved and sub menu is alphabetical. Menu is working better
in the latest version so closing the issue.

Hello Mark,

I appear to have this same issue. When ever I create a new group within group
manager, assign permissions to that group, then create a new user and assign to
the new group, I cannot view anything within the menu bar. The menu bar is
just a "black ribbon" with no icons in it. We are on version 3.7.

Keep in mind the menu manager you need to assign your group to items in the
menu otherwise you have not given it anything to show to the user.

Off topic but you should consider upgrading.
