park_announce is not working #289

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Enable park_in and park_out
2.Put a call on park by dialing 5900
3.User has no way to find out which park slot the call is parked on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 3.0.4

Please provide any additional information below.

park_announce has never been completed it was put in there for future
development. So how do you know where the call has been parked using blf.

If you are parking a call to lot *5900, then to retrieve it is *5901. You are
thinking of the Valet parking lot, where one sends it to *6000 and the system
randomly inserts the call into a parking lot between 6001-6099, but is supposed
to announce to the "Parker" which slot the caller has been assigned.

It is recommended to use which is the default in fusionpbx latest and has
announce.
https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Misc._Dialplan_Tools_valet_park

park.lua script was made before mod valet parking had presence it has presence
capability to work with BLF now so it is the recommended way to do call parking.
