Does not look good in Thunderbird (24.2) #43

Reason: missing gtk2-engines-pixbuf

Note the input field and button mouse-over border on the toolbar.

Hmm, looks fine here, make sure you have the Murrine engine installed.

Looks fine for me too!

Looks fine for me ;)

Ubuntu 13.10, gtk2-engines-murrine is installed. Switched the theme with Unity Tweak Tool - should it work? Does it require session restart?

xyl0n commented 10 years ago

@trespasserw it would be a good idea to maybe log out and log back in, yeah

xyl0n commented 10 years ago

Closing for now because most people don't seem to have this problem.

trespasserw commented 10 years ago

Sorry for long reply. Unfortunately session restart doesn't help. The only things changed are window decorations: thick borders and crimson title bar, is this intended?

paugre commented 10 years ago

@trespasserw to get the GTK2 theme working you need to put the theme files in /usr/share/themes/ and then select the correct one in e.g. Unity Tweak tool. It's not enough to have them in ~/.themes or ~/.local/share/themes/

trespasserw commented 10 years ago

Moving the theme to /usr/share by itself doesn't help, but installing gtk2-engines-pixbuf definitely does (sorry, should have tried thunderbird from console earlier).
