Ubuntu 14.04 (Unity) white on white text #53

This can be found in web browsers, in the right-click (and similar) menus. This is an issue in both Firefox and Chrome (and probably others). Basically any white right-click menu has invisible text.

Another issue that seems somewhat application-dependent is the unity-tweak-tool from the standard repositories. The text in the overview window is all white.

murrine-egine installed? have you put the theme in /usr/share/themes/ or elsewhere?

ghost commented 10 years ago

Hmm... I put it into my local themes directory. I'll try the one in /usr/share very soon. Thanks!

Love both themes!

I'm having the same issue, specifically when I open menus in Chrome. Am running 14.04.

@matt-della @dreww2 you need to install gtk2-engines-pixbuf

drewgendreau commented 10 years ago

It looks like gtk2-engines-pixbuf was already installed. I tried removing and re-installing, but that unfortunately didn't work either.

I found a similar bug in Unity tweak tool. When selecting an option is looks OK, but in the other options the text is white and is unreadable. screenshot from 2014-04-22 07 39 09

I can confirm that mine does this as well. On Apr 22, 2014 5:47 AM, "joshjo" notifications@github.com wrote:

+1 on this, don't think gtk2-engines-pixbuf fixed it.
