Checkboxes don't show up unless checked (Linux Mint 17) #77

I've only seen this happen in the System Settings area.

In the above screenshot, under Miscellaneous, there are three options--one of them is checked.

This is after the latest update.

Unfortunately, the latest changes are only for Gtk 3.14, which as far as I know is not available on Linux Mint 17. I will setup a branch for previous versions of Gtk.
