there's already a 1.12.0-update branch, so assuming it's coming

Make sure that you launched the game one time before installing the mod.

I had the same problem when I wanted to start the game, but I launched it once then reinstalled the mod and then it worked

In case this is still an issue - the beta provided on modsaber.org works fine with 1.12: https://www.modsaber.org/mod/song-loader/5.0.1
