NVidia Geforce Experience version: 3.25.0.84 Vita Moonlight version: v0.91 Vita Moonlight running on: PSVita 1000

Output of Vita Moonlight:

20220218 07:45:50.385786 append_device: allocating memory for the initial device list...
20220218 07:45:50.386351 append_device: device DESKTOP-60M380A is added to the list
20220218 07:45:50.386628 save_device_info: device file path: ux0:data/moonlight/DESKTOP-60M380A/device.ini
20220218 07:45:50.394152 save_device_info: paired = false
20220218 07:45:50.394588 save_device_info: internal = <<an local ip was here>>

20220218 07:46:43.623560 connection_terminate error: 1

What is the expected result? Able to go into stream

What happens instead of that?

errors on screen:

sunshine

when testing using sunshine as the server, it comes up with this error:

[2022:02:22:03:14:24]: Warning: SSL Verification error :: ok
[2022:02:22:03:14:24]: Info: /CN=NVIDIA GameStream Client -- denied

notes:

- self build vpk from git repo, however also tested realise version, same issue occurred (unless deleting it from home screen want the best option) - I have tested on the moonlight android version, and seems to work fine. - tweaked the device.ini as much as I could and still nothing

### My thoughts After some testing (updating moonlight-common-c) I believe (not sure on this) it may be an issue with vita-moonlight talking to PlatformSockets.

For me, I found it may downgrade to released version 0.9.1 before pairing. And once pairing is done, I update to the vpk which is built from git and everything works fine without frozen anymore.

It seems like a software regression.

Thanks, @AngelSherry! Will definitely test this when I have a free sec

did you figure out a solution?

lied2 commented 1 year ago

Hey everyone, I tried downgrading from the latest provided release to the previous, namely 0.9.0 but it did not help.

However, I found a solution. in Sunshine's Web UI go to:

Configuration -> General and set UPnP to 'Enabled'

The first connection took a fair bit, but finally a PIN was displayed and I was able to register the Vita. Though streaming over WI-FI seems really bad, I'll try how it fares on the VITA TV next ✌️

I did, sorry for the extremely late reply.

I followed @AngelSherry 's reply:

Steps Include:

Do note however, in my experience of running moonlight on the vita resulted in a stream with constant loses of frames (While using Sunshine). I'm not sure if this is from an old/weak wifi chip or hardware decoding. However when testing the same host on the same network on a Andriod device, result was a lot more smooth.

Consider to reopen it. It haven't been "solved". It's just a "workaround".

Hi there, same problem, same error. On the ps vita in moonlight go to the settings and "Enable VITA vblank" to yes. It's worked for me!

DredgenBalls commented 1 year ago

I was getting this same error when trying to pair. I edited the device.ini found in ux0:data/moonlight/"your device" the first line from "paired = false" to "paired = true" and it connected fine, hope its as easy for you.

Man, i was seeking information for weeks, with the previous version (0.91) i could Connect briefly, but with 0.92 i got the fail paired issue so i coudnt use this app.

I was so tired , and you saved my Life xDD At least, all the time I spent with that, was worth it. Thanks a bunch!

3/18/2023 Can confirm the issue still persists, fixed by using v0.9.1, paired it and upgraded, works fine after that.
