when I turn the gps on my phone gets no coverage provided, sometimes Navitel at
least I can see that although satellite signal is not good (shown in yellow)
but does not give the location. googlemaps only shows that can not find my
location.
however I have tested with a huawey um840 in the same time and this if you give
the correct location.

yes, i turned on detection using both wireless networks as well as using GPS
satellites.
also my phone does not detect the 3G networks.
my modem version is kh-5200-v20g and the android version is 2.3.4 boot 110509
(236mb memory), system CyanogenMod7.1.0-RC0 (Gingerbread2.3.4) 5/6 SNAPSHOT
with the 2d and ril updates...

GPS doesn't work without wireless connection .
The GPS satellite doesn't work at all .
Google Map(v5.4.0) only works with wireless connection .
So GPS doesn't work correctly !
2.3.3's GPS is fine .
2.3.4's isn't ...
And check issue 23 ,please...
Whatever,nice work,man !

@PoweredB
Can you test your GPS on an other firmware ? Maybe it's an hardware problem
comming from your phone.

Today I have installed another firmware to my phone to test the gps and it
worked well even inside the house with original Froyo v20d (installing with
fichero.kdz as step one and installing 2.3.4 gingerbread as step two). but with
this rom not take my phone signal (v20d).
Then I tried the same procedure but with v20e and at least my phone works much
like the v20g. I do not know exactly where it can affect the changes I made at
the reception of GPS, but still share it with you to get their views.
