@y-brehm I messed up in the last PR and forgot to fix the README

Just to make sure that we don't misunderstand each other: With my PR merged 3.9 AND 3.11 work fine!

yes--that PR is merged and the tests run for 3.11. Forgot to edit the README to say that >=3.9 works (check the diff ;) )

Nice! What about the fancy Github-Flex README symbols that indicate that all tests are passing?
