Mac does not go to sleep when closing lid #95

My mac does not go to sleep when I close the lid, even though NoSleep is not
running. Even worse: when I put my mac to sleep using cmd + alt + eject button
and then close the lid, my mac wakes up again when I close the lid.

I guess NoSleep must be causing the problem. I deleted the app and rebooted,
but I'm still experiencing the same issue.

I opened a thread on the Apple support forum:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/23310973#23310973

Especially this post of mine will be interesting:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/23333515#23333515

It's quite obvious now the NoSleep extension is causing the issue, even though
I deleted the app. I deleted the app using another app called Appcleaner
(http://www.freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/), but it seems like there's still some
files left that I need to get rid of, right? How to get rid of these files?

Hello!

Here is a good place to ask such questions:)

The DMG package, you have previously downloaded, contains an uninstall script.
Could you download the dmg image from the download section of this website and
run the script. This will remove the NoSleep utility completely.

Could you also answer here with your result.

Thanks,
--Pavel.

I'm curious why you mac wakes up after forced sleep...

I actually had a couple of users with similar issues, but in the end all of
them were not related to the NoSleep. So if after the uninstallation your
symptoms will remain then it's probably not a nosleep issue.

Anyway, keep me in touch and we will investigate your problem further if you
want.

I have a suggestion, what can be the root cause. What do you mean by "even
though NoSleep is not running"?

Did you deactivated it? Is Zz icon grey or blue? Or you just clicked "Quit
NoSleep Utility" with NoSleep active?

All right, running the nosleep uninstall script fixed the problem! Thanks a lot
:)
