@abitrolly no particular reason, but it looks like it has some additional features https://askubuntu.com/questions/445384/what-is-the-difference-between-apt-and-apt-get so feel free to replace it.

Replaced apt-get with apt in the latest commit. Also added dnfsupport for Fedora using your /etc/os-release hack.
