I had a request from the DSCA team to see if it would be possible to expose the technical metadata for objects in DCS. They requested this because they often get inquires about the technical metadata of an object. Currently, they have to go through a multi-step process to find this information for the patron. In addition to technical metadata, they mentioned that image resolution would be helpful to have exposed as well.
Displaying the technical metadata would cut down the time the team spends searching for this information. Additionally, if the technical metadata was displayed on Blacklight, patrons would be able to independently access this information.
To see what the options are, could we discuss the following:
What technical metadata is available?
Should it be added to only MGMT, only Blacklight, or both?
Where should the technical metadata be located in Blacklight and/or MGMT?
