What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to an old-school BBS via telnet and attempt to play games.

2. Observe that the character encoding is not correct.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I hoped to see similar output to that on the desktop using a BBS client such as
SyncTerm, but was disappointed. Apparently there is no support for ANSI in
connectbot.

Telnet to Bulletin Board Systems
If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?
I am connecting, but cannot get to a prompt to indicate the $TERM environment
setting or the kernel info. I think many hosts are on Windows systems.
Please provide any additional information below.
