Can not open a specific https website running tomcat

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run QtWeb
2. Type into the address bar: https://www.privatelink.de/ (use httpS, not http)
3. Hit enter

What is the expected output? 
The Website should be opened.

What do you see instead?
Nothing happends. The action is simply ignored. No new website is shown. Also 
no error feedback. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
QtWeb 3.7.5 build 101 portable exe, running on Win7. 

Please provide any additional information below.

The problem seems to be specific to the combination of the webserver (tomcat6), 
protocol (https) and this browser. The website is working properly with 
Firefox, IE, Safari and Chrome.
