Create example test cases showing the usage scenarios #51

There are a couple of ways to use the library, and providing example test cases would make this much clearer that just textual documentation.

This issue was originally opened at Google Code on Aug 6, 2012.

Added some example tests in examples directory.

Have to still consider how to distribute them.
