Code that compiled a few months ago won't compile today #355

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Running compile for any document produces the timeout error; each document I 
tested compiled previously but failed today, although I've made no changes 
since the last successful compile. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see the compiled document. Instead saw pop-up:
"An error occurred while performing the following command: 
Compile current document.
Error details: The compile operation exceeded the allowed 30 seconds timeout 
value."

What version of the product are you using? On what browser?
Chrome. 

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same problem. My suspicion is that this project is dead.
