What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to open a saved .tex document.
2. No more steps needed. The process stops dead in its tracks right there.
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected - My text file opens in the web-editor (which shows a template .tex
file upon starting latex-lab), so that I can start editing it and compiling.
What I see instead - "No preview available" with no obvious buttons to click to
get to text file. The only option available at that point is a download of the
.tex file. Which is utterly useless.
What version of the product are you using? On what browser?
I am using presumably the current version (its probably the preview you get
upon logging in). Browser - Chrome, on Mac and Windows.
Please provide any additional information below.
This is a show-stopper. If I can't even open the documents, what is the point
of this project at all?
I am dearly hoping that I am missing something obvious. Like a nearly concealed
button that lets me get past the preview button to the editor / compiler this
project claims to be.
I guess I could copy and paste into the editor window from a locally stored
copy of the .tex file but that is quite stupid and defeats the purpose of
having integration with Google Drive (something that competitors like VerbTeX,
ShareLaTeX etc. don't offer).
The whole point behind this is a) I can work on my latex documents in the
cloud, b) collaborate, possibly in real-time (though that part is not
essential).
