I installed the fonts (windows 7) but just get The quick brown fox instead of arabic fonts etc #197

What steps will reproduce the problem?

http://www.google.com/get/noto/install.html

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
 I expected the different language fonts, but when I type them, I just get the usual "English" faults, although the names of the Noto fonts are all listed in my fonts folder. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

As an example, the first font is Noto Kufi Arabic, and in my font folder it 
says it is Version 1.02

Please provide any additional information below.
Everything downloaded and installed correctly, and all of the fonts are in my 
font folder and appear in Word, but when I use them, they all just type regular 
English type, if you see what I mean, instead of the different alphabets of the 
foreign languages. So what do I do? Thanks for your help. Val Friesen

This doesn't sound like it is a font issue. Are you using an Arabic input 
method to use your example of Noto Kufi Arabic? If you aren't using an input 
method or keyboard for the language then you won't get text in that language.
