The total number of articles. As a more practical measure, one could actually have it display both the Unread and Total number of articles. Something like 21/50.

Presumably, not everyone utilizes Handy on a mobile phone. Some users own tablets, which should allow considerably more free space. Below, is a screenshot of a mobile phone that demonstrates a possible solution by moving the indicator to the top of the panel — to above the feed name. If no room can be found for it in the top panel, consider it optional, and provide in the feed list setting an entry with which to enable/disable the proposed counter. This latter offers a more equitable solution?

Yes, it is, but having to move back and forth between the already open feed and the side panel to view its (Unread) article feed count, is not the same as having it instantaneously accessible, i.e. the same pane, where it can be seen at a glance. The current counter does show only the number of Unread articles. A combination of Unread and the Total number of articles, may provide a more practical solution — as proposed in the first paragraph above. Example: 21/50
