I also have the same problem. Nothing I do seems to ensure that the other
proxies get used. Even if I select them directly it reverts to the direct
connection.

And I just noticed that when I enable my proxy to Charles (the web debugging
proxy) using Switchy in Chrome, suddenly Firefox starts using the proxy. Not
sure if that is by design or what

I am using Chrome 15.0.874.121. I have pac file but Proxy Switchy does not work
with it on Ubuntu. There is no problem with Windows.

Same problem here ... Chrome version 21.0.1180.75 and Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit.
I also used this great tool a lot. But now it doesn't work at all.
Unfortunately it is useless right now. Hopefully this will be fixed very soon.

FYI, FoxyProxy now works for Chrome. I recommend everyone use that. I think
SwitchyProxy is dead development-wise.
