What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Create a SOCKS v5 proxy using SSH and verify working with Firefox
2.Connect to the proxy using Switchy
3.
What is the expected output?
The connection should be over the new IP address
What do you see instead?
The icon turns blue for few seconds and reverts to the default connection.
Operating system:
Fedora 17 x86_64 fully updated, Chrome Version 21.0.1180.75

Does this have anything to do with the recent switch to Gnome 3? Another bug,
although mislabeled, reports the same problems
(http://code.google.com/p/switchy/issues/detail?id=396). There have been
significant changes to gconf and also the network manager daemons.
