Can you actually answer? I actually have Surfshark, but I downloaded some songs for 5 minutes without it having activated. Now I am very nervous. It is not P2P but I guess they can track anyway

The program pretends it's a Smart TV type device. It's meant to fly under the radar. If you're on a paying account, I highly doubt anything will happen.

How ironic, I always use Germany VPN to download

So long as you don't distribute the music you should be fine! (even without a VPN, that is.)
