Bug description Until yesterday I was downloading the discs in "MQA" quality, and today it is only downloading in 16 bit quality - 44.1 khz. I have tried several times and it does not solve, and uninstall and reinstall again and it remains the same, I tried the tidal-dl and it gives the same problem. The configuration is to be downloaded in "Master".

Does anyone know why this happens?

I downloaded the new version 1.1.0.21, but it shows that the current version is still 1.1.0.20. Does anyone exist the same as me?

It happened to me weeks ago with an earlier version, you must remove all traces of the program, then pass it the ccleaner and clean the registers, then again mount the program and run it and it is solved.

Tidal revoked a lot of API tokens recently. The new token that most tidal API wrappers use at the moment does not allow HI_RES streaming, but falls it back to LOSSLESS.

Have you tried to play the file with an mqa certified player like Audirvana? FLAC is just the container for MQA files. These must be provided on the software and hardware side. As an example, your Billie-Eilish song is unfolded at 88 kHz via Audirvana. Each TIDAL master FLAC is a 44kHz or 48kHz file.

Same here, after update the version download Hi-res(Master) become 16bit. use back previous version to download also same. cant download 24 bit file now.

issue not solved for mac, still clips at 16/44, incidentally the redsea newest token also clips it at 16/44 so i think it's fairly wide spread and token related.

Can I asked you what app you are using to pick up if the songs are MQA or Not? I'm using USB Audio Pro. It is ok but I would like to try something else. Also, sometimes the phones are the ones limiting the output to 48 KHZ. It could also be limited by the USB-C DAC if you are using one.

Hello Will, I use the NAD BluOS app (the remote app for controlling the NAD C658 Streamer/DAC/PreAmp). So you cannot use it stand-alone unfortunately. The NAD C658 can play 24 bit 192Khz (mqa) music.

I confirm that new tidal-dl can download mqa files. If someone have problem like me, try to change new settings in tidal-dl, menu 2. I found that tidal-dl.ini from tidal-gui and new tidal-dl have difference value in quality key. tidal-dl is "HI_RES" but tidal-gui is "hi res". good luck!!!!

@IR777 I download tidal-gui.exe & tidal-dl.exe to same folder, and then run each. when run tidal-gui and tidal-dl, they use the same tidal-dl.ini config file. I saw difference value in the same key, quality. I'm not sure is this the problem or not.

with the latest tidal-gui version v1.1.0.22. sometime i cannot download mqa files, but sometime i can with same master album. so i look into tidal-dl.ini and found that if it has "accesstoken=xxxxxxxxxxxx..." , i can download mqa files. but don't know when it has accesstoken key.
