It's not downloading in HI_RES quality and skipping songs. #359

Since a few weeks when I try to download song in HI_RES quality it doesn't do it, it downloads the songs in LOSSLESS quality instead even if the song has the MASTER QUALITY tag on Tidal platform.

Also, I noticed that it is not downloading songs with long titles, it just skip the song and shows up an ERR notification.

Why is this happening?

The Newest version, .22 still doesn't save as 24bit in hi-res on. it just 16bit lossless only.

i just did some testing and i think it's going to be a very long time, if ever, that mqa comes back. i pulled a token out of my audiorvana that was gotten from an mqa stream and when tested it i don't get an mqa download. i know mqa as a company specifically licenses mqa decoders (you can read about this on the android uppap app -- where i believe the user has to pay additional $3 to get a stand alone license) -- i think what happened with the way that tidal is handling their APIs is that MQA side of it got broken out and besides the tidal api token there now must exist a second MQA token. the API not only checks that you have valid token credentials but also probably determines on the fly whether you send you an mqa stream or not.

i believe until that second piece is figured out, and probably won't be as easy as simply updating your tidal token because this could now be a whole new side of code and the code here is being re-used from the code written in 2016. so unless a major rewrite happens i don't think you'll be downloading mqa anytime soon.

the MQA files seem to be coming from ab-pr-cf.audio.tidal where cd files come from sp-pr-cf.audio.tidal -- what makes them be selected on the fly i don't know.

I see... but why does it skip a lot of songs with long titles?

Try erasing all the software and folder contents, give it a registry cleaner and install the software again

I was having the same problem before I updating to .22, after the upgrade all was good with downloading Master files until I decided to download an album that only available in HiFi. Now I can't get the program to download anything in Master Quality. I really hope this gets fixed.
