Not all songs have Master sound quality. You can download HiFi songs separately, try to download with master sound quality, and check if the result is master
I guess the real question is if the tool can detect the track quality and automatically select the correct download setting. Something like "Auto" quality setting. Or would that be a feature request?
I think I've found the answer myself :) The "Master" setting works like "Auto" and is the safest bet for batch downloading playlists with mixed mqa/hifi flac tracks as it will output mqa from Master and non-mqa flac from hifi and that's exactly what I wanted :) I was just affraid that the Master setting would artificially bump the bitrate (and file size) for non-Master tracks but it's not the case here :) Correct me if I'm wrong thou.
That's indeed correct, for anyone wondering.
Yes 'Master' setting will download 'Master' quality if available otherwise it defaults to 'HiFi'
Which tool
Question Hi, First of all thank you for the tool! If I have mixed Master and HiFi songs in my playlist should I select Master quality in the setting when downloading the whole playlist at once? Or should I download each song separately changing the quality if need be? Regards David
