There are a few things:
I have been looking at refreshing the build system to use something more modern. I guess this could be done after also.
I think there was some IPv6 feature that was left to do but I can't really remember right now.
Then there as always the testing required to make sure it works on different platforms (including trying to fix the recent Widows TAP issue).
I have no timeline currently but doing it in the next months sounds reasonable.

I see a lot of work put into iodine after the latest 0.7.0 release (which is 7 years ago). iodine commits newer than 0.7.0 release fix opening utunX devices on Darwin. I'd really like the fix to appear on a release.
