What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. setup the puttycyg and cygwin
2. run the putty.exe and select the connection type to be cygterm, enter the
dash as the host name
3. click on the open button

What is the expected result? What happens instead?
Expected: the puttycyg window will open correctly and I can use it
Instead: the window just flash, then close automatically

PutTTYcyg version: puttycyg-20101029.zip
Cygwin version: 1.7.7-1
Windows version: windows 7 professional 32-bit

First make sure you have add cygwin\bin into path, so putty can find the
cygwin1.dll.
Second, maybe this still doesn't work, you can try launch it with command
"putty -cygterm -".

I have the same issue. I use puttycyg-20101029 and cygwin 1.7.0(0.237/5/3). I
have cygwin\bin in my path. I copied putty.exe (windows asked me for
Administrator's privileges while copying) and the rest of the files to
cygwin\bin and putty can be started from there.

I had the same issue and strafe...@gmail.com's work-around worked.
