ssl client certificate and also with 
untrusted server side certificates.

This is a big one. :(
Really don't know.
Should I rewrite android Download Manager or find some partial solution...

It should support SSL client certificates, untrusted sites, 
NTLM, Basic, Digest proxy/web server.

Still some bugfixing/testing to be done
Fixed: small files download when content is processed before headers
Known: FC when click on unsuccessful download
