When launched, app goes straight to browser, every time and doesn't load anything #67

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.find app on drawer, tap to launch
2.default browser is launched, tries to load google.com
3.browser stuck, still loading even though connection is working OK

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I just downloaded it, so was expecting some kind of set up interface 
but nothing happens; it just loads the default browser pointing it to
google.com and it never loads

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

stock rom (2.3.6)

Please provide any additional information below.
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 running stock Android 2.3.6 
Gingerbread

App looks like the same as default browser, there are just additional features 
to set in Menu->Settings.
About loading first page. It should work.

First off I'm really impressed by how fast you got back to me!!

I have modified the settings via the menu as suggested and it works in that
browser but non of my apps work, not the play store, not instagram, not
opera mini, non of them do. Any ideas?
(ps: i'm sitting behind a work proxy with address 10.55.4.19 and port 8080)

If you want to all app work you should use SandroProxy.

But on version 2.3.6 your phone must be rooted.
Use app tab and check that all traffic should be redirected to SandroProxy.

And not captured : Settings -> Capture data = OFF
