Changed misleading comment: Alt-V already toggled the [ ] Vegetarian check box; the subsequent Space key toggled the selected status of the current item which was not intended.
Now also checking if the new selection is correct after toggling that check box: If vegetarian, it also selects "Mushrooms", otherwise "Salami".
