general encoder in place attribute encoder #13

Hi, they're is a way to control general encoder 1 > 5 like the console in place attribute encoder ? ( although it is also practical ) but when manipulate 3d viz, it's more easy

Hi Youtux, unfortunately not as far as I know at the moment. You can change individual attributes such as "Dimmer" in the command line in grandMA3. I use the encoder function to increment or decrement these attributes. As far as I know, it is not possible to emulate the control signals that come from a console or a Commandwing. If you can think of a workaround, please let me know and I will incorporate it

I watched the video and it shouldn't be such a big problem to implement this functionality with Chataigne. However, it would require a separate Chataigne module, because as far as I know you can't simply open a web socket from an OSC module in Chataigne. Accordingly, a second grandMA3 module would have to be created in Chataigne and mapped to it. If I find the time I will have a look at it and test if it is solid enough

i would say let us just wait until version 2.0 maybe they will add or change som osc Functionalitys then the plugin would maybe not work anymore i Phoned with ma last time because of a Bug and asked when 2.0 and the Person ment they trying as a goal as a Christmas Present

Wow, that sounds exciting. I'm currently preparing for a 1.10 version so as not to be disappointed
