Configurable min-moving-speed #43

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
We should add options for the user to pick his desired minimum distance and
speed which is considered moving (based on activity type).

Original issue reported on code.google.com by rdama...@google.com on 18 May 2010 at 6:13

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
The reason for this request is to avoid having clusters of points when one stops
biking/jogging for a short period of time (e.g. let others catchup or rest).

Once this feature request is implemented, could someone also suggest a min
moving
distance for specific models of phones?

thanks
grant

Min moving distance basically went away in favor of min distance between points.

(just removing OpSys-Android label, all issues are in Android anyway)

I would also like to see this feature for use on skiing trips so chairlift
speeds aren't used in average movig speed calculations

The average speed is calculated from when "my tracks" is started, it would have
much more sense to bring back the old option that calculated the average speed
only when moving, and if possible add a configurable minimum speed.
do we have to open a new feature request? Is this report being watched?

I'm not entirely sure if this entry is the right thing to do here, but I'm in
favour of a setting to allow track recording to auto pause on speed=0 or close
to zero.
