Keymacros was throwing errors/warnings so I made it more flexible. I took the chance to move variables to defaults, it makes the code cleaner."

Notice that this PR is based on my other PRs, hence I put it for now in draft mode.

I've rebased the PR on focal, it is ready for merging.
