Holidays would be great if it wasn't for family. I joke, but only a little bit. Here's my take: We spend so much of our time during these holidays thinking about family and pleasing others, which is great and part of the point of at least Christmas, but it isn't the whole point. Because we are focused essentially on pleasing others we never stop to think about the actual meaning of these holidays and the reason some employers encourage us to take them off. It isn't just to be with family. There is another purpose and families need to realize this and not make things overly stressful for themselves or their other family members. That's my take anyway, do with it what you will!
