LED not working - Nexus One #22

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Great, simple, timer by the way.
2.  I was in settings and setup led notifications.  Tried various colors.  None 
worked.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Please include the following info:
Phone model? Nexus One 
Android Version? 2.2 stock, latest official
ROM?

If possible, provide a logcat of the issue:
If you get a Force Close do an: adb logcat

Please provide any additional information below.

The LED notification only works when the display is in sleep mode.
