What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.just using the timer
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Please include the following info:
Phone model? HTC Droid incredible
Android Version? 2.1?
ROM? Unknown

If possible, provide a logcat of the issue: what?
If you get a Force Close do an: adb logcat

Please provide any additional information below.

As shown in startup tips:
"To stop the alarm sound press the timer or use the Notification Bar."
