No alarm or vibrate when screen goes to sleep #51

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set timer and allow screen to go to sleep
2. When timer should alarm it does not. Only when screen is unlocked does the 
alarm then sound.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expected output would be 
the alarm sounding. What actually happens is that the alarm does not sound when 
due and will only alert once the screen is unlocked.

Please include the following info:
Phone model? Huawei Ascend
Android Version? 2.3.4
ROM? CM7

If possible, provide a logcat of the issue:
If you get a Force Close do an: adb logcat

Please provide any additional information below.
