Sound level low on RAZR maxx with ICS #97

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.run any timer with standard or custom ring

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Sound level is too low and not adjustable

Please include the following info:
Phone model? Droid RAZR Maxx
Android Version? ICS 4.0.4
ROM?

If possible, provide a logcat of the issue:
If you get a Force Close do an: adb logcat

Please provide any additional information below.
Volume buttons adjust phone volume, not media volume
